Cops launch major hunt for suspect on the loose after man shot dead at UK traveller site

COPS are hunting for a man suspected of being involved in a fatal shooting at a traveller site. In an update, Wiltshire Police said this afternoon: “One person – who is believed to have had previous interaction with the victim on Saturday evening – remains outstanding and urgent enquiries are ongoing to locate and arrest him.” Sign up for The Sun newsletter Thank you! Officers were called to the scene at 8.15am yesterday after the victim – who has not yet been formally identified – suffered a fatal gunshot wound. A crime scene remains in place at the site and is likely to remain so in the coming days, the force added. Senior Investigating Officer Detective Chief Inspector Phil Walker, from MCIT, said: “First and foremost, my thoughts remain with the victim’s friends and family at this sad time. “Our investigation has been continuing at pace since the incident was first reported and it is a Force priority to locate the outstanding suspect, who is thought to have left the Wiltshire area. “I understand the concern that this incident will have caused for our local communities.
