Cooperation agreement signed to implement Riyada Plus programme

Muscat: The Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (Riyada) has signed a cooperation agreement with Namaa Electricity Supply Company to implement the Riyada Plus programme, which aims to provide supportive solutions and benefits for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) holding the Riyada Card, thereby enabling them to settle their electricity service dues and enhancing business continuity.The cooperation agreement aims to empower SMEs to apply optimal electricity consumption mechanisms, contributing to the reduction of electricity bill amounts, while also providing flexible payment solutions to help them address their financial obligations and strengthen their capacity for recovery and business continuity. The agreement further seeks to reduce instances of delayed payment of electricity consumption bills, minimise service disconnections resulting from accumulated arrears, and improve collection efficiency to limit the build-up of outstanding debts.It also aims to enhance the customer experience and raise satisfaction levels, while developing institutional partnerships that serve the SME sector.Additionally, the agreement provides for the updating of subscriber data for this segment, thereby contributing to improved quality of services provided to them.The cooperation agreement was signed by Sayyid Mazin Saif Al Busaidi, Deputy Chairman for SME Development (Riyada), and Eng. Ahmed Abdullah Al Fazari, Acting Chief Executive Officer of Namaa Electricity Supply Company.
