Controlled, Altered, Deleted: The ‘VisionQuest’ Collection Gave Us a New Perspective on Vision

Yesterday, we had the chance to stop by Marvel’s Controlled, Altered, Deleted: The VisionQuest Collection activation at Studio 525 during New York Comic Con 2026. We weren’t quite sure what to expect; the description was suitable mysterious, promising we would “be immersed in Vision’s history and discover what was altered, what was lost, and what endures when a machine searches for his humanity.” What we discovered was an immersive multimedia experience full of representations of Vision as the subject of various famous artworks, including Edward Hopper’s “Nighthawks” and Grant Wood’s “American Gothic.” We’ll leave it up to you to interpret what all of this could mean for Vision’s past, present, and future ahead of his upcoming television series VisionQuest. Take a look at the images and video we captured below. © Adriano Contreras/io9 © Adriano Contreras/io9 © Adriano Contreras/io9 © Adriano Contreras/io9 © Adriano Contreras/io9 © Adriano Contreras/io9 © Adriano Contreras/io9 © Adriano Contreras/io9 © Adriano Contreras/io9 © Adriano Contreras/io9 © Adriano Contreras/io9 © Adriano Contreras/io9 © Adriano Contreras/io9 © Adriano Contreras/io9 © Adriano Contreras/io9 © Adriano Contreras/io9 VisionQuest premieres October 14 on Disney+.
