CONOR MCGREGOR has given a fresh update on his knee injury following surgery. The Irishman, who was returning from a FIVE-YEAR layoff following a horrific leg break in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier, went under the knife last week. Taking to Instagram, ‘The Notorious’ shared a video of his leg, which was out of the knee brace he’s been using the last few days, lying on a booth seat. In the clip, the UFC’s first simultaneous two-weight world champion said: “That’s what setting records looks like. “That is what setting records looks like. Day five post-surgery.” McGregor tore the ACL in his left knee in his first meeting with Holloway in August 2013, which he won via unanimous decision. He returned to action 11 months later and is, at best, looking at a similar timeframe for the final fight of his UFC contract.
