CONOR McGREGOR has revealed he is undergoing surgery after the devastating knee injury that brutally ended his long-awaited UFC comeback. Let’s go, we got this.” Writing alongside the clip, McGregor remained upbeat despite another major setback. He posted: “Well folks, here we go again! Surgery number five of my career coming up! All things considered that is an OK number! Let’s do it, WE GOT THIS!” The injury brought a heartbreaking end to McGregor’s first fight in five years after he appeared to damage his right knee while throwing an early jumping kick. The Mac stumbled twice more before grabbing his knee in pain, forcing the referee to wave the contest off after just over a minute. But UFC president Dana White has already warned the Irish superstar is likely to face around a year on the sidelines. It continues a miserable run for McGregor, who has now lost four of his last five fights and previously spent five years out of the Octagon after suffering a horrific broken leg against Dustin Poirier in 2021.
