CONNOR BENN has sought to mend bridges with Eddie Hearn after their public fallout, admitting he would “love to sit down with him.” Benn, 29, ended a decade-long relationship with Matchroom earlier this year when he signed a lucrative deal with Dana White’s Zuffa Boxing. But ahead of his WBC welterweight world title showdown with Ryan Garcia in Las Vegas on September 12, Benn insists there is no bad blood towards the man who guided almost his entire professional career. He said: “I’ve not seen it personally, so to hear that is warming. “When all is said and done, I’d love to sit down with Eddie and just have a chat, so, It’s really nice to hear.” Benn signed with Matchroom shortly after turning professional in 2016 and developed into one of British boxing’s biggest attractions under Hearn’s guidance.
