Sunil Kumar on Tuesday, alleged that some people are attempting to create anarchy in the country in the name of some movement and are inciting the young generation in the name of ‘Cockroach’.Mr. Kumar was speaking at a protest organised by the Udupi district unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the Jatka Stand in Udupi alleging that ‘Cockroaches’ and Congress supporters were creating anarchy in the country and following a goonda culture and anti-national policies.Mr. Kumar said the protest by ‘Cockroaches’ in the name of NEET examination paper leak was an attempt to insult the country by using abusive words against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Hinduism. He said no government has justified the NEET question paper leak. Re-examination was conducted as soon as the issue came to light. However, he said, attempts were being made to create a vicious atmosphere against the country by using such incidents as a pretext. SHETTIGAR The Karkala MLA said during the tenure of Mr. Modi, India’s standing at the international level has increased. However, some forces were working to weaken the country. He criticised the Congress for not having faith in the electoral system, Parliament and the law.Mr. Kumar said there was a need to create awareness among the people about anti-social and anti-national activities that involve collaboration with foreign forces.He alleged that when the Citizenship Amendment Act was being implemented, Congress utilised the opportunity to incite Muslims against the country. It also questioned the operations of the Indian Defence forces during the surgical strikes and ‘Operation Sindoor.’ He alleged that people with similar mindsets were now protesting in the name of ‘Cockroaches.’Indian society does not accept stone-pelting on soldiers and attacks on police in the name of movement.Other BJP MLAs from the district, Gururaj Gantihole, A.
