Even LFCTV commentator John Bradley was left horrified and apologised to any watching fans who were “having their lunch”. He said : “That’s a nasty landing. The freak incident happened towards the end of the game and Dossena needed a brief stoppage while his finger was bandaged up. He did manage to solider on and play the final six minutes of the match. It turned out to be a goalless draw between the two sides as the likes of Victor Munoz, Trey Nyoni, Federico Chiesa, Kostas Tsimakis and Alexis Mac Allister all got a run out. Liverpool ended up playing Como for a second time in the same day, this time at Anfield in front of the fans later in the day. Reds boss Andoni Iraola named a much stronger team for the second game with Virgil van Dijk, Milos Kerkez, Ryan Gravenberch and Alexander Isak all featuring.
