Now the road is also in a bad condition as authorities are yet to take up restoration works after laying the electric cables. It has become all the more important to restore the road to its original condition,” Priya Patel, a resident of Krishna Nagar First Cross, said. She said the absence of streetlights in several places in Krishna Nagar added to the problem of commuting. “Heavy traffic, lack of proper road and streetlights make travelling, especially on two-wheelers very difficult. Then there is the problem of stray dogs lying around the dark corners of the road,” she added.Vinod Sharma, a resident of Krishna Nagar 17th Cross, said the place was prone to flooding as it was a low-lying area. “The topography of the area was such that even the slightest amount of rainfall will cause inundation. And in the instance of water logging, the road could get further damaged. If the restoration work is going to be delayed it will create severe hardship to the residents and commuters. The authorities should start repair works at the earliest,” he said. Published - July 30, 2026 08:51 pm IST
