Published August 7, 2026 08:01 AM Stefon Diggs is officially the newest member of the Commanders. Word that Diggs had agreed to a contract with the NFC East team came on Wednesday and the Commanders formally announced the move on Friday morning. The deal is reportedly worth up to $12 million. Diggs will join Terry McLaurin at the top of the depth chart for Washington and the move will give him a chance to back up his claim that he is the best No. 2 receiver in the NFL. Even if he can’t put other arguments to rest, Diggs’s signing addresses a need for the Commanders offense as they head into their first season with offensive coordinator David Blough. The Commanders waived offensive lineman Tyler Cooper to create space for Diggs on the active roster.
