Published August 7, 2026 08:19 AM Wide receiver Stefon Diggs will be on the field with the Commanders for the first time in training camp after officially signing with the team on Friday and Washington will be welcoming three others back to active duty as well. The Commanders announced that punter Tress Way, defensive end Dorance Armstrong and cornerback Trey Amos have been activated. Way was on the non-football injury list while the two defensive players were on the physically unable to perform list. Way was sidelined by a pectoral injury he suffered ahead of camp. Armstrong is returning from a knee injury that ended his 2025 season and Amos fractured his fibula last November. Defensive end Deatrich Wise is now the only player on the Commanders’ PUP list.
