Column: Veterans want a voice in lantern floating ceremony

As a retired Army officer and representative of many within Hawaii’s veteran community, I feel compelled to express disappointment regarding the continued lack of engagement between organizers of the Shinnyo-en Floating Lantern Hawai‘i ceremony and the veteran organizations that have sought respectful collaboration for years.
