Column: Still hope for remaining isle climate legislation

It has been a difficult legislative session for the environment in 2026. Many of the bills that would have helped to mitigate climate change or protect Hawaii’s natural resources are no longer alive. While there are dedicated environmental champions in the Legislature who have worked diligently to advance meaningful policy, we need more to join them.
