Column: Fulfill duty to protect immigrant rights

In Hawaii, immigration stories commemorate how many of us moved to this special place and came to call it our home. Transoceanic crossing and a generations-long struggle to break the back of an oppressive plantation system define the difficult and uncertain circumstances of ancestors.
