Collector directs officials to fast-track industrial growth in Sri Sathya Sai district

District Collector A. Shyam Prasad directed officials on Thursday to fast-track industrial growth and accord all clearances within the stipulated time frame.Addressing the District Industries Promotion and Export Committee (DIPC) meeting at the Collectorate here, Mr. Shyam Prasad reviewed investment and survey progress across sectors, including MoUs signed through the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB).He said that industrial proposals should not remain on paper and asked Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Limited(APIIC) and District Industries Centres (DIC) officials to ensure that MoU-bound companies start work on the ground and move towards production at the earliest. He warned officials against keeping Single Desk Portal applications pending and instructed all line departments to grant approvals strictly within the Service Level Agreement (SLA) timelines prescribed by the government.Meanwhile, the committee approved investment subsidy incentives for eight industries eligible under the new A.P. MSME EDP 4.0 (2024-25) policy.Unveiling the brochure for the upcoming MSME Growth Workshop, the Collector said the event was being organised with the slogan ‘One Family One Entrepreneur’ to nurture first generation entrepreneurs.The workshop will be held on September 30 at Sai Teja Convention Hall in Puttaparthi, he added.
