Fashion lovers can pick up a range of handbags, purses and accessories at a major discount while sites remain open. According to the brand’s website, prices have been slashed on all items by up to 70 per cent. Following the website shut down, Radley is set to close all of its remaining stores after collapsing into administration in May. Gordon Brothers, which also owns Poundland, has bought the brand and intellectual property, and has said it would “pursue an asset-light model to unlock the full potential of the brand”. Radley currently operates two stores, located in Covent Garden, London, and Glasgow, Scotland, which are set to shutter at the end of the month, according to a report from Retail Week. Another report from Drapers said the stores, alongside the brand’s portfolio of 19 concessions, are expected to remain open until September before closing their doors. Most read in Money The luxury brand was first established in 1998 by Lowell Harder and had a longstanding distribution partnership with John Lewis, as well as other major retailers including Marks and Spencer and Next. The closures come amid a tricky time for the UK high street. Earlier this year, Claire’s Accessories collapsed into administration and shuttered all 154 of its standalone sites in April. Posh sleepwear brand, Peter Alexander, is also set to close its UK stores, citing difficult trading conditions as reason for the move. Comment now
