Colin Farrell’s Son James Makes Rare Appearance in HBO Doc Trailer

Colin Farrell Admits Which of His Movies His Sons Enjoy the MostColin Farrell is opening the doors to his home. The Penguin star shared a rare glimpse into his family life with 23-year-old son James Farrell—who lives with a rare neurogenetic condition called Angelman syndrome—in a newly released trailer for the HBO Max documentary The Slightest Touch detailing his and Emma Fogarty’s journey running the 2024 Dublin marathon. "I've never had a camera crew come near my home," Colin said in the Oct. 28 preview before he was shown laughing and hugging James, who he shares with ex Kim Bordenave. "He gets away with nothing!" "The reason I'm here is the same reason you're here," the 50-year-old continued. "It's for Emma." Emma is the oldest living Irish person with epidermolysis bullosa, sometimes called “butterfly skin,” a recessive disorder characterized by fragile skin and painful blisters. As the 42-year-old's longtime friend, Colin agreed to push Emma's wheelchair in the Dublin Marathon—with a documentary crew capturing how he trained for the feat. (Farrell ultimately raised more than $800,000 for DEBRA, an organization supporting people with EB.)"This could be very bad for her, but this means a lot to her," Colin explained. "She doesn't deserve the pain afterwards, but she deserves the experience, and you can't have the one without the other." And the Banshees of Inisherin actor—who's also dad to son Henry Farrell, 16, with ex Alicja Bachleda-Curús—will not stand in the way of someone living a full life.
