Coleen Rooney looks back on her rise from teen 'chav' to glamorous WAG as she cringes at her Noughties outfits and gives fans a peek inside her giant designer-laden dressing room

Coleen Rooney was left cringing as she reflected on the questionable outfits she wore in the Noughties. Speaking on her tell-all docuseries, The Real Rooneys, Coleen explained that she nearly turned down her successful collaboration with Primark because she doesn't consider herself to be a 'fashion icon', and was concerned her collection would be a 'flop'.Eager to help, Wayne offered her some style advice, suggesting that if she designed any pyjamas, she should ensure they included pockets, because 'pyjamas without pockets are just stupid.' As Coleen shot down Wayne's idea and pointed out her husband was 'not a***d' about fashion, she then conceded: 'Wayne might have something to say about my fashion in the past...' Coleen then took a trip down memory lane as she reminisced about some of her looks during her early days of fame, which resulted in her cruelly being dubbed 'a chav' by critics.At the time, she hit back at the label, saying: 'There's all this hype, but I didn't seek it. And I don't understand that chav label. I don't know what it's supposed to mean.' 'Yeah I liked a bit of tan!', Coleen remarked. 'It's the hair extensions that get me on this one.' She also looked back at her memorable ensemble of a neon green Von Dutch hat and T-shirt that she paired with a yellow Chloe handbag back in 2004. Coleen recalled: 'This was my time when everything was really bright. 'I think I was going to an England game. I wore that so when Wayne looked in the crowds he could see me. He couldn't miss me!'However, it was another look from that year that tipped her over the edge as she looked back at a snap of herself dripping in Missoni - including a poncho and matching beanie. Coleen would always be on the front page and it would always be her outfits that were spoken about.' Coleen's mother Colette McLoughlin then added: 'She had some lovely outfits. She was known as the Queen of Aintree. 'But what she got ripped for... the moon boots. The yellow moon boots.' As Coleen said she no longer owns the vibrant footwear, Colette reasoned: 'But that's what the girls were wearing then. It wasn't just her.' Colette added that Coleen's love of fashion started from an early age, when she wouldn't play with dolls and would ask for clothes and not toys for presents. Discussing her £20million Cheshire home, which they built from the ground up in 2022, Coleen said her number one priority was designing her wardrobe. Giving fans a glimpse inside the room, which was bursting with Chanel handbags, Coleen said: 'When we built the house I said I want a really big dressing room. 'But as you build, things change so it's still a big dressing room but probably not as big as I wanted it to be. 'I've got this and Wayne has a few wardrobes. They did say can you share and I said no!'
