A new study from the Nurses’ Health Study and the Health Professionals Follow-Up Study found that people who drink more caffeinated coffee and tea are less likely to develop dementia and show better cognitive performance. Those in the highest group for coffee consumption had a 18% lower risk of dementia compared to those drinking the least. This suggests that moderate intake of these beverages could play a role in maintaining brain health as we age. The findings add to a growing body of evidence that lifestyle factors, like diet, significantly impact cognitive health.
