Russian forces targeted a Coca-Cola production facility in Brovary, Kyiv region on Thursday, Sept. 3, in what President Volodymyr Zelensky called “a clear signal” to America. Zelensky calls the strike a message to US Ukrainska Pravda first reported the fire at the plant, citing its own sources, before official confirmation became available. Footage circulating on local Telegram channels showed heavy smoke rising from the site shortly after the strike. According to the sources, a drone struck warehouses containing finished products at the Brovary facility, which is one of the largest soft drink production plants in Europe. Separately, RBC-Ukraine reported that President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the attack in an evening address, saying that Russian forces had struck the facility with Shahed drones. According to Ukraine’s Air Force, Russia launched 163 attack drones against Ukraine between 6 p.m. on Wednesday and 8 a.m. on Thursday, including Shahed-type drones, about half of which were jet-powered, as well as Gerbera, S8000 Banderol, and Parodiya drones.
