Cleveland Hopkins Airport's rental-car return signage so confusing a stranger had to rescue this driver

On returning west to the airport via Interstate 480 to drop off my rental car, I was horrified to find that the signage to guide me back to the rental-car return was basically nonexistent. I’ve never visited an airport that has done such a bad job of directions for their guests.
