Classic toy retailer now on Amazon, just in time for Prime Day

The items available include magic trick sets, stuffed animals, and a kids’ version of that beloved oversized piano.This news comes at a time that’s something like a renaissance for toy stores: Toys R Us, for example, just announced it’s opening 120 new standalone stores this year, bringing the total number 160. Forbes adds that toy sales were the strongest they’ve been in six years during the first half of 2026, showing a 17 percent total dollar sales increase. And not unlike Toys R Us, Retail Dive notes that FAO Schwarz has come up against many a bankruptcy itself in recent years.
