Belagavi: A Class 9 student's body was found hanging inside a residential school in Karnataka's Belagavi district on Monday.The student, identified as Gautham Bhajantri, studied at the Morarji Desai Residential School in Belagavi's Kudachi area. His body was found hanging from a window of a room inside the school. While the body was shifted to a local government hospital for a post-mortem examination, Gautham's family members have alleged that the incident was not a suicide and claimed that the boy was beaten and murdered. They have demanded a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.The incident comes days after a six-year-old boy died at a private school in Visakhapatnam, with his family alleging he was beaten by a teacher for not completing his homework.The family of the child, identified as Pranay Teja, said he collapsed after being beaten by a teacher with a stick for not doing his homework. He was taken to King George Hospital (KGH), where doctors declared him dead.The incident took place at the Little Garden School, a private school in the One Town area.By the time the child was taken to King George Hospital, the family was told he had already died.
