Renowned management scholars Allan Bird of Goa Institute of Management and Elizabeth L. Rose, Pro-Vice Chancellor and senior professor at ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, Hyderabad, led the sessions. The workshop focused on key aspects of academic publishing, including setting long-term research goals, managing co-authorship, responding to peer-review comments and avoiding desk rejections. The experts emphasised that successful academic publishing requires clarity, originality and research rigour rather than lengthy manuscripts or unnecessary technical jargon.Unlike conventional workshops based on lectures, the programme adopted a hands-on approach, featuring dedicated writing sessions, individual mentoring and structured peer-review exercises. Participants received immediate feedback from experienced scholars and fellow researchers, enabling them to make meaningful improvements to their manuscripts. The mentors also highlighted that academic publishing should be viewed as a collaborative process aimed at advancing knowledge rather than merely achieving publication targets. Participants were encouraged to develop clear arguments and communicate research findings effectively to wider academic audiences.Attendees appreciated the practical insights, personalised mentoring and exposure to internationally recognised scholars, stating that the programme helped them gain clarity and renewed confidence in pursuing their publication goals.
