He moved to the Costa del Sol permanently over 25 years ago where he laid the foundations for his criminal organisation’s billion euro empire. He made the decision to move to Spain over fears he and other senior members of the gang could be arrested in Ireland. But they later left Spain after Gardai increased their international outreach by forging close relationships with their counterparts in the UK, Holland and Spain. Although one of the world’s most wanted men, Christy Kinahan also spent his time in Dubai leaving online restaurant reviews.
