Chris Appleton says friend Kim Kardashian could appear in Strictly audience

Celebrity hairdresser Chris Appleton has said his friend and client Kim Kardashian could be cheering him on from the audience as he takes part in Strictly Come Dancing.The 43-year-old was partnered with professional dancer Amy Dowden during Saturday’s launch episode of the BBC One dancing show, which will see him compete against stars such as singer Delta Goodrem, former Love Island winner Dani Dyer and former England footballer Shaun Wright-Phillips.Asked whether Kardashian, whose reality TV show The Kardashians Appleton has appeared on, would be in the audience during the show, he told the Press Association: “Who knows? Watch this space, but I don’t know, anything could happen.“I think being in Strictly, I’ve realised anything is possible and magic happens.Kim Kardashian could appear on this year’s series of Strictly, according to Chris Appleton (David Davies/PA)PA Wire“I have no idea, I know a lot of people want to come to the show and we’re only allocated two tickets.”It comes after Kardashian posted on social media to support Appleton when his participation in the show was announced and also sent him flowers.The Leicester-born hairdresser added: “Kim’s so sweet, I mean, she’s been such an amazing person throughout my whole career.“She’s obviously fantastic at what she does, but obviously I know Kim personally, and she’s just always been so kind, and she sent me a beautiful bouquet of flowers, which was just so kind of her to do, she didn’t have to.“And she said, ‘break a leg’, and just commenting on my post when I did it, and that’s so nice of her to support me because she’s always been so supportive.“But to do that, which is going above and beyond, it just says so much about who she is, she’s an amazing person.“Like I say, she’s always been so supportive, I’m very lucky to work with her, and she’s my hair muse, she’s always been my girl.”Appleton will return to Strictly in Saturday’s first live show on BBC One and iPlayer at 6.15pm.
