China calls for US-Iran dialogue

Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Lin Jian has called for dialogue between the US and Iran amid threats of looming sanctions from Washington. Jian said in a statement on X that China "opposes unilateral sanctions that lack basis in international law and UN Security Council mandate". “Military force and pressure tactics will only lead to escalation that serves no one’s interests.
