Catastrophic blunders in the system left the vile offender free to kill two sex workers after raping a third – while he was on bail for string of sexual assaults. Levy was jailed in 2021 for sexual assaults, and carried on preying on woman after he was released in 2023. In a separate trial, he was convicted of 11 counts of sexual assault in which ten of the victims were young women who were using the Tube, and the 11th was a prison officer, assaulted while he was behind bars in 2022. In January 2025, Levy strangled a woman unconscious before raping her in a car park and leaving her “as good as dead”. In March 2025, he killed Carmenza Valencia Trujillo, 54, before dumping her body in the stairwell of a derelict building in Peckham, South East London – all while still on bail. In a shocking “systematic failure”, the court heard Levy had been carrying out daily attacks for years, with dozens more potential victims out there as cops urge them to come forward. The unemployed loner, who lived with his mum in Tottenham, was separately found guilty earlier this year of sexually assaulting ten women on London’s Tube network over a 19-month period. Cops have urged more victims of Levy’s to come forward, as London’s victims’ commissioner said a “litany of failures” had allowed him to commit his heinous crimes. The Independent Office of Police Conduct (IOPC) confirmed two officers are being investigated over their handling of Levy. The Metropolitan Police, British Transport Police and Crown Prosecution Service have all admitted to failures in how the brute was monitored between his first conviction and his arrest for murder.
