Child, house help dead after fire erupts on 11th floor of Mumbai building

A fire tore through the 11th floor of Shanta Bhuvan in Vile Parle West. The blaze triggered an overnight rescue as residents fled smoke-filled floors and a short circuit is suspected.The fire was brought under control after three hours.A massive fire broke out on the 11th floor of a residential building in Mumbai, leaving a two-and-a-half-year-old child and a 23-year-old house help dead.The fire erupted late Tuesday night in the Shanta Bhuvan building in Vile Parle West, triggering panic among residents as flames and thick smoke spread through the upper floors.Several residents rushed downstairs to escape, while others who were trapped by the smoke made their way to the terrace.The fire brigade launched a large-scale rescue operation after receiving information about the blaze. More than 15 fire engines and emergency vehicles were deployed to the spot.
