Linebacker Jack Pyburn played at LSU last season and his potential return to the college ranks has been discussed quite a bit recently, but he’s now set to be in Kansas City rather than Baton Rouge. Pyburn was claimed off of waivers by the Chiefs on Monday. Pyburn had four sacks for the Buccaneers in the preseason, but he failed to make the cut in Tampa. Pyburn was a part of a lawsuit in Louisiana that resulted in a temporary restraining order allowing the plaintiffs to return to play in college this year, but his spot on the Chiefs’ 53-man roster likely closes the door on another season in the SEC. The Chiefs also claimed defensive tackle Bryson Eason on Monday. Eason was cut by the 49ers on Sunday.
