Premiered in 2012, NBC's long-running procedural drama has aired for 14 seasons and 294 episodes, following the professional and personal lives of the firefighters and paramedics of the Chicago Fire Department. Its current ensemble cast includes Taylor Kinney as Kelly Severide, Miranda Rae Mayo as Stella Kidd, David Eigenberg as Christopher Herrmann, and Hanako Greensmith as Violet Mikami, and many more. Now, according to Deadline, Joe Miñoso, who has played firefighter Joe Cruz since season 1, will be departing Chicago Fire in season 15. He will return for a limited number of episodes at the beginning of season 15 to bring his character's storyline to a close. Miñoso first appeared as a guest star in the show's pilot episode and became a familiar face throughout season 1, appearing in nearly every episode as a recurring character.
