Chelsea scrambling to sort out futures of ELEVEN players including Enzo Fernandez before transfer window shuts

CHELSEA are scrambling to sort out the future of Enzo Fernandez and TEN more players before the transfer window closes. The Blues are reported to be in talks with representatives of Roma midfielder Manu Kone about a move to Stamford Bridge if Fernandez leaves. The Chelsea recruitment team are set to be the busiest in the Premier League over the next day and a half, with the focus on trimming Xabi Alonso’s massive squad to a manageable number. Goalkeeper Robert Sanchez needs to leave after being dropped from the team and replaced by new signing Emi Martinez. But reports of Spurs being interested in Sanchez feel far-fetched and Tottenham will be more concerned with preventing the Blues hijacking their £60m deal for Everton’s Iliman Ndiaye. Alonso refused to guarantee Pedro Neto would be staying at the club despite his impressive adaptation to a wing-back role. Liverpool, who are desperate for a right winger, are being linked with Neto, who has already attracted attention from Saudi Arabia. Mykhailo Mudryk will almost certainly leave Stamford Bridge on loan. Striker Marc Guiu should complete a permanent transfer to RB Leipzig soon, but Chelsea are yet to find a suitable loan deal for young centre forward Shim Mheuka. Landon Emenalo’s proposed season-long move to Celtic is up in the air because of his injury. But sources are not ruling out the Glasgow giants renewing their interest in Blues goalkeeper Gaga Slonina, who seems to have been reduced to the role of warming up those ahead of him in the Chelsea pecking order. The destination for defender Aaron Anselmino and midfielder Dario Essugo was yet to be finalised, however.
