TOTTENHAM have announced the signing of Mykhailo Mudryk from Chelsea. The Ukraine international has joined Spurs from their bitter rivals on loan until the end of the season. The 25-year-old winger said of his move across the capital: “It’s a great feeling. “I can’t wait to start training and playing for the club, and I’m so excited to be reunited with Roberto De Zerbi. “I’m a player who brings speed and creativity, and I want to help in both the offensive and defensive areas. “I want to make the fans excited. “I can see it’s a strong squad here with good players, and I’m looking forward to sharing a pitch and special moments with them.” De Zerbi, who coached Mudryk during his time in charge of Shakhtar Donetsk, is delighted to have the speedster in his squad this season. Mudryk denied intentionally taking the substance, which can increase endurance, and blamed the positive test on a contaminated substance. He appealed the suspension to the Court of Arbitration for Sport and was this summer given clearance by the FA to return to the pitch. Mudryk hasn’t played a competitive game since scoring in Chelsea‘s UEFA Conference win over FC Heidenheim in November 2024. He returned to the fold last month in a pre-season friendly against Juventus, coming on in the 82nd minute to a rapturous applause. Comment now
