Delap has attracted interest from a number of Premier League clubs, with Nottingham Forest and Everton among those keeping tabs on the forward. The striker endured a frustrating first season at Chelsea, scoring just twice in all competitions as the club finished outside the European places and suffered FA Cup final heartbreak against Manchester City. His form has also failed to convince new boss Xabi Alonso during pre-season. That has left Delap among a number of first-team players who could be moved on before the transfer window closes on September 1. Chelsea are keen to reduce their attacking options with Nicolas Jackson and Marc Guiu also attracting interest from clubs over potential loan or permanent moves.
