Cops said they were growing concerned for his welfare as they appealed for the public’s help locating the Brazilian Chef. Tragically, Dener’s family have now confirmed that his body was discovered in a park in Hackney, London, on July 18. It is understood that Dener’s body had been left undiscovered in a wooded area of the park for two weeks. Police later told the chef’s relatives that CCTV footage had shown him getting into his car carrying his wallet and a black briefcase before he disappeared. The Metropolitan Police confirmed officers had found the body of a man matching Mr Guieiro’s description on July 18. Formal identification is yet to take place and an exact cause of death has not been disclosed. His twin sister, Ana Luiza Guieiro, said cops had contacted Dener’s family in Brazil to inform them of the discovery. In an online fundraising appeal she wrote: “My twin brother passed away in London, far from home, family and everyone who loved him. “Beyond the immeasurable pain of this loss, we are facing a challenge that is beyond our financial means – bringing his body back to Brazil so we can say goodbye with dignity and allow him to rest alongside those who always loved him. “Every contribution, regardless of the amount, brings us closer to this final act of love. “If you can’t help financially, sharing this campaign will also make a huge difference.” The Sun has contacted the Metropolitan Police for comment.
