(Dennis Victory | preps@al.com)Dennis VictoryThe Alabama High School Athletic Association volleyball state champions have all been crowned and so has the top-vote getter from last week’s stellar performances leading to the Birmingham CrossPlex extravaganza.In the closest competition of the season, Montgomery Academy’s Morgan Springer came out on top. The senior middle hitter got 31.9 percent of the total to 31.6 percent for Indali Robinson of Madison Academy.Springer got 438 of the 1,370 votes to Robinson’s 433.Last week, Springer had 25 kills, 7 blocks, 5 digs and an assist in a 3-0 sweep of Holy Spirit Catholic and a 5-set win over Bayside Academy.Robinson, a junior setter, had 31 assists, 24 digs and an ace for the Mustangs in a win over American Christian and a loss to Briarwood Christian.Zoe Robinson of Bob Jones finished third in the balloting with 220 votes.
