After working for an indie game studio and acting as the family's go-to technician for all computer issues, he found his passion for writing and decided to use his skill set to write about all things tech. Since beginning his writing career, he has written for many different publications such as WorldStart, Listverse, and MakeTechEasier. However, after finding his home at MakeUseOf in February 2019, he would eventually move on to its sister site, XDA, to bring the latest and greatest in Windows, Linux, and DIY electronics. Sketch turns rough doodles into finished images—sketch a layout, style, or outfit and let AI refine it. The feature is widely available—type '@sketch' in ChatGPT to start doodling and generating art now. As much as I'd like to be an art expert, I can't really render anything more complicated than a stick figure. Fortunately, with ChatGPT Images 2.5, it seems I won't need anything more. The newest update to the AI image generator introduces Sketch, a new tool that turns your line doodles into works of art. ChatGPT Sketch lets you make a mountain out of a molehill You can get started with it right now Credit: ChatGPT As announced on the OpenAI website, the company has revealed the general release of ChatGPT Images 2.5. Overall, it looks like a flat upgrade; the tool can create more realistic images than ever before, take better edit requests, and has somehow cut generation time by half. However, my favourite feature by far is Sketch. Sometimes, when you're generating an image, it can be hard to tell the AI what you want and where to position it. Now, you can feed it a rough drawing (and I do mean rough) and let the AI do all the heavy lifting: Now you can quickly sketch the layout of a room, the contour of an outfit you’re concepting, or just a funny doodle, and ChatGPT will turn your rough art into a complete image. Add a description of the style and any other details you want to make sure it reflects your vision. It seems that all ChatGPT users have access to this feature, so head over to the website, type in '@sketch', and hit Enter. A small canvas should pop up. Doodle what you want to see turned into a picture, and hit the checkmark. Don't worry about making it look good; that's ChatGPT's job, after all. It'll add your doodle as an attachment; from there, you can describe what you want from the image, and it will do the rest.
