FAMILIES were left disappointed as the main attraction at a seaside town was forced to close significantly sooner than expected. A lengthy farewell message was issued to the community, thanking locals for their support. The attraction was only opened to the public in April 2025 and following the announcement of its closure, it was intended to be operational until September 6. Eastbourne Council has previously confirmed the attraction was closing due to “commercial considerations.” A spokesperson for Sky Club Wheel said: “It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Sky Club Eastbourne has now closed permanently. “We’d like to sincerely apologise to everyone that was hoping to visit us again before the end of the season. Unfortunately, we had to close earlier than expected. “To everyone who has visited us over the years – thank you. Whether you rode with family, friends, or simply came to enjoy the incredible views, you’ve helped create so many special memories, and we’re honoured to have been a part of them. “The support we’ve received from local residents, visitors, businesses and our amazing team has meant more than words can say.
