Charlotte Adigéry & Bolis Pupul Announce New Album Mainland Madinina: Hear “From Healer To Dealer”

Belgian art-pop artists Charlotte Adigéry and Bolis Pupul first worked together on Adigéry's self-titled debut EP in 2017, and they teamed up for the collaborative album Topical Dancer in 2022. Now, they're doing it again. After releasing a single called "Googoo Gaga" last month, Adigéry and Pupul will release their second LP as a duo early next year. It's called Mainland Madinina.Adigéry and Pupul wrote Mainland Madinina together in Ghent and Martinique, the homeland of Adigéry's mother. (Madinina is the indigenous name for Martinique.) It's the first thing that the two artists recorded after they both became parents and Adigéry lost her mother. Soulwax acted as mentors and co-producers for the record, just as they did on Topical Dancer. Adigéry and Pupul's new single "From Healer To Dealer" is a twitchy, funky dance-pop track that goes on for eight and a half minutes and concerns two narcissistic characters who speak to each other entirely in buzzwords. Lennert Madou directed the video, and it stars dancers Emmanuelle Mfulu and Mathias Goethals. Below, check out that clip, the Mainland Madinina tracklist, and Adigéry and Pupul's upcoming tour dates.TRACKLIST:01 "Restless"02 "Googoo Gaga"03 "Stepmother"04 "Mana"05 "From Healer To Dealer"06 "Saint-Lucia"07 "Pleaser To Meet You"08 "Losing My Shit"09 "Délirez-Vous?"10 "Dad Or Alive"11 "Rite Of Passage"12 "I'm Lost"TOUR DATES:2/21 - Cologne, Germany @ Club Volta2/23 - Amsterdam, Netherlands @ Paradiso2/24 - Antwerp, Belgium @ De Roma2/25 - Brussels, Belgium @ AB2/26 - Paris, France @ Élysée Montmartre3/01 - Glasgow, UK @ Classic Grand3/02 - Manchester, UK @ Gorilla3/04 - London, UK @ Here at Outernet3/05 - Bristol, UK @ Lantern Hall3/06 - Lille, France @ Grand Mix3/09 - Hamburg, Germany @ Mojo3/10 - Copenhagen, Denmark @ Vega3/11 - Berlin, Germany @ Astra3/13 - Warsaw, Poland @ Oczki3/23 - Los Angeles, CA @ Teragram Ballroom3/24 - San Francisco, CA @ Great American Music Hall3/26 - Portland, OR @ Polaris Hall3/27 - Vancouver, BC @ Hollywood Theatre3/28 - Seattle, WA @ Neumos3/39 - Chicago, IL @ Lincoln Hall4/02 - Washington, DC @ The Atlantis4/03 - Brooklyn, NY @ WarsawMainland Madinina is out 2/5 on DeeWee/Because Music.
