Charli xcx’s ‘Music, Fashion, Film’ Struts to No. 1 on U.K. Albums Chart

It's her second No. 1 album on the U.K. chart in a matter of months. Charli xcx Aidan Zamiri Trending on Billboard Charli xcx has earned her fourth U.K. No. 1 as Music, Fashion, Film debuts atop the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart dated July 31. The LP is Charli’s second chart-topper in a matter of months, following her Wuthering Heights soundtrack, which hit the top spot in February. Music, Fashion, Film follows 2022’s Crash and 2024’s Brat in reaching the No. 1 spot on the Official Albums Chart. She joins an elite group of musicians to score two U.K. No. 1 albums in a single calendar year alongside The Beatles, David Bowie, Elton John and more. Charli is the first British female artist to achieve the feat, and joins international artists Taylor Swift, Diana Ross and Rihanna in the club. The same day as Charli’s achievement, she has a headlining spot at Chicago’s Lollapalooza Festival. On the festival’s opening day Thursday (July 30), Charli joined Lorde for a performance of their version of “Girl, So Confusing,” which appeared on remix album Brat and It’s Completely Different But Still Brat. Michael Jackson’s The Essential greatest hits compilation follows at No. 2, with Olivia Rodrigo’s you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love landing at No. 3. A reissue of Snow Patrol’s 2006 album, Eyes Open, closes at No. 4, with Olivia Dean’s The Art of Loving at No. 5. The latter made history alongside Sam Fender as their collaborative song “Rein Me In” became the longest-running No. 1 single in U.K. Chart history with a 19th week at the summit. Shania Twain’s Little Miss Twain debuts at No. 7, while The Strokes’ Reality Awaits earns the NYC icons their seventh top 10 album in the U.K, closing at No. 8.
