It hasn’t aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX and YouTube. Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) and Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) are trapped in a nightmare following Dr Caitlin Todd’s (Caroline Harker) death in Emmerdale. A couple of days ago, Sarah walked in on a showdown between Charity and Dr Todd. She then shoved the evil surgeon, which resulted in Caitlin hitting her head and dying. Moments later, Serena Sugden (Casey Al-Shaqsy) entered the house and discovered the horror scene. The former copper immediately jumped into action, creating a cover story for Sarah and Charity before the police arrived. Investigating Dr Todd’s death is new face DS Ramsden (Chelsea Edge). The detective interviewed Charity first, who claimed that Dr Todd’s death was her fault. Charity stated that she pushed Caitlin, leading to her smacking her head. Stuck in prison, Charity could do nothing but worry about Sarah, who was in the village desperately trying to hide the truth from everyone. In today’s episode of the ITV soap, Sarah headed to the pub for a family meeting with the rest of the Dingles. As they discussed Charity’s situation, the likes of Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter), Cain (Jeff Hordley) and Moira (Natalie J Robb) all pointed out that it was very unlike Charity to call the emergency services. Overwhelmed, Sarah headed out of the pub and was later seen at the station. She got close to sharing more information with the police, but was stopped due to Ramsden releasing Charity. Charity and Sarah returned to the pub, but quickly faced more questions from their family. Charity then told her loved ones that Dr Todd raped her. She didn’t reveal anything else after that, due to how overwhelmed she was feeling. Charity is desperate to protect Sarah (Picture: ITV) The only person who sensed that Charity wasn’t being entirely honest in the aftermath of Todd’s death was Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb). He said that it feels like Charity is holding something back, but she snapped and stated that she really hoped her husband would be on her side. Mackenzie isn’t someone who will just ignore his suspicions. If he keeps pushing Charity, will she crack and reveal what really happened to Todd? Their relationship is fragile already.
