Champi nears PAR but will not affect PH directly on Monday
MANILA, Philippines — Typhoon Champi is approaching the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) but is not yet affecting the country, the state weather bureau said Monday. In its 5 a.m. forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Champi was last spotted 1,720 kilometers east of Southern Luzon as of 3 a.m.
