CESC warns against unauthorised drone filming at Dasara show

The Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC) has warned of strict legal action against individuals and organisations flying unauthorised private drones to film its drone show being organised as part of Mysuru Dasara-2026.The drone show will be held at the Torchlight Parade Grounds in Bannimantap on October 17, 18, 20 and 21.In a press release, CESC said individuals and organisations had been prohibited from flying private drones to capture visuals of the show without prior permission from the competent authority. Sharing footage captured through unauthorised drone operations on social media is also prohibited.CESC warned that strict legal action would be initiated against violators. The authorities may also seize drones used for unauthorised filming and initiate appropriate legal proceedings, the release said.The corporation has urged the public and organisations to comply with the restrictions and obtain the necessary permission from the competent authority before operating drones during the event.
