AN independent department store is preparing to launch a major closing down sale with discounts of up to 70% ahead of shuttering for good after 104-years on the high street. The sale, which will give shoppers a chance to score discounts on designer brands including Pandora, Swarovski and Laura Ashley, is set to kick off in a matter of days. A message from the family-run business, previously said: “As part of the planned redevelopment of the site into a mixed-use scheme incorporating student accommodation and retail space, we have secured an option to relocate into the new development once construction is complete. “Although this marks the end of an important chapter in our history, we look forward to the opportunity of returning to the town centre in the future, as we have an option to continue the Tylers’ story within the new development.” The store will shutter in January, with the family revealing they have secured a building to relocate to once the site has been developed if they wish. A sale it has called its “Grand Closing Down Forever Sale” will kick- start at 9:30am at its store in Loughborough this Friday. A preview of items up for grabs show a Pandora bracelet marked down from £60 to £30. It also stocks other popular brands including Swarovski, Laura Ashley and Jelly Cat.
