The journalist lost a head-to-head with comedian James Acaster to join traitors Maya Jama and Richard E Grant after pleading their case to be saved. The episode ended on a cliffhanger, with James and Amol lying in coffins as host Claudia Winkleman spoke to the Traitors before walking behind the coffins, pacing back and fourth and then slamming a lid shut.Following the cliffhanger, it was revealed that Amol had been murdered and he later appeared on The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked. Breaking his silence, Amol confessed he had warned himself to 'shut up' and avoid being 'the journalist who asks all the awkward questions' in a bid to not be murdered or banished early on.He said: 'It's hard not to watch it and think I, obviously, with 20/20 hindsight, I played the wrong game.
