Celebrity Traitors’ Joe Lycett thought he would not get along with some co-stars

Joe Lycett has said he thought he would not get along with “certain people” on The Celebrity Traitors when the line-up was revealed.The comedian, 38, is among the 21 stars taking part in the second series of the hit BBC show, which will air in autumn.The show is the celebrity spin-off of the original civilian version, both of which are hosted by Claudia Winkleman.Claudia Winkleman (Jonathan Brady/PA)PA WireSet in a castle in the Scottish Highlands, the game follows the celebrity contestants – the majority of whom are known as faithfuls – as they try to seek out the murderous traitors among them, who kill off players in the middle of the night.Speaking on the Hits Radio Breakfast Show, Lycett admitted he was apprehensive about some of his famous co-stars.He said: “I got on with everyone, and I thought there were certain people I wouldn’t get on with when I saw the line-up.“You don’t know the line-up but I think they published it two days before we went in and I was like, ‘oh God’, I talked about actors and there was loads of them but there wasn’t a single person in there that I didn’t get on with.“I asked (comedienne) Joanne McNally, who is one of my favourite people in the world, and she said ‘I’m in as well’, so the comics sort of worked out who was in because we all talk to teach other.”Joe Lycett admitted he was apprehensive about some of his famous co-stars (Ian West/PA)PA ArchiveLycett also admitted he broke the terms of his non-disclosure agreement, adding: “We weren’t meant to ask people if they were doing it – you sign the NDA and they say don’t tell anyone you’re doing it, but if you search the word ‘traitors’ in my WhatsApp I told everyone!
