| Senior Film & Entertainment Reporter Published October 12, 2026 1:20pm Updated October 12, 2026 1:20pm This Traitor could be the next person to leave the castle (Picture: BBC) As we wait to find out the fate of Faithfuls Ross Kemp, Leigh-Anne Pinock, Romesh Ranganthan and Rob Beckett, waiting in individual crypts to see if they will be murdered face-to-face, Celebrity Traitors fans have picked up on a clue. And once you read what it is, it’s quite hard to ignore. It also, sadly, potentially signals the demise of one of the Traitors if it’s recognised as a tell by any of the player’s castmates in Ardross Castle. For while Oscar nominee Richard E. Grant remains the only Traitor so far to be banished – and in iconic fashion after outing himself almost immediately – the net appears to be closing in on Hannah Fry. Recruited instead of murdered by Traitors Maya Jama and James Acaster, the mathematician and broadcaster managed to save herself from rampant suspicion at the last roundtable, which resulted instead in the banishment of Faithful former Corrie star, Julie Hesmondhalgh. But TV sleuths have spotted a tell before anyone else as Hannah attempts to deceive her castmates on the hit BBC show. Literally, she’s talking “tongue in cheek”!’ Get even more Traitors gossip Want to get all the latest news and predictions for the best and most dramatic show this new year? Paul then shared some photos of examples, adding: ‘Hannah, sorry about the screenshots.’ One of the images showed the professor sitting down at breakfast the morning after she was recruited and entered the room with Jerry Hall, when everyone knew they were the only two vulnerable to murder the previous night. She is seen sticking her tongue out the side of her mouth, while another image showed her placing her tongue in her left cheek while choosing her words carefully in the car on the way back from a challenge. Fans have pointed out Hannah Fry’s habit of sticking her tongue in her cheek or out when she’s deceiving (Picture: BBC) She first did it when having to hide that she’d been recruited by Traitors Maya and James overnight, as everyone was expecting Jerry or her would be murdered (Picture: BBC) ‘Ha ha, yeah my wife and I spotted that… probably to do with the edit but seems super obvious!’ agreed Mossy, while Lauren Cook added: ‘Yes!!! Me and my husband also noticed this! I love Hannah but I’m worried she’s going to get caught out!!’ ‘It’s all I’ve been talking about, I was like Hannah omg [sic.]’ posted another viewer. ‘Boris Becker had the same tell when he served,’ pointed out James Waite, before suggesting the reason it may seem so obvious that Hannah is a Traitor. ‘Hannah is so intelligent she knows she’s lying as she lies while trying to act like she isn’t lying and her body rejects the whole thing,’ he explained. ‘If she gets banished there’s not many reasons left to watch the show TBH.’ The Traitors are about to murder their next victim face to face (Picture: BBC/Studio Lambert/Cody Burridge/BBC Creative) However, the presenter’s decision not to follow the crowd on Friday’s episode when suspicion immediately fell on those leading the charge against Julie, could see her stay in longer. ‘Hannah pointing out to everyone that they have to stop looking at the obvious choices, which she is one of them, then not voting for Julie to stay true to her point, even if it made the odds of her going tonight higher,’ wrote GoonerGetGot. ‘Absolutely masterful play. It might or might not work, but it feels like the only play she had to give her a chance in future episodes.’ Celebrity Traitors continues at 8pm on Thursday on BBC One.
