Celebrity Gladiators signs up another Strictly star as top comedian joins BBC show

CELEBRITY Gladiators has hired a comedian, and another former Strictly Come Dancing star, who’ll wave goodbye to his thirties while taking part. I can reveal that funnyman Chris Ramsey will compete on the BBC One contest which is recorded at the end of this week at Sheffield Arena. A TV insider said: “They lover having a comedian on Celebrity Gladiators to ramp up the fun factor, which is why they’ve always tried to sign someone like Chris. Sign up for the TV newsletter Thank you! “Previous names have included stand up stars Rob Beckett and Joel Dommett who were on the first ever series of the spin-off show in 2024, and they certainly delivered on laughs.” Chris, who competed on Strictly in 2019 with dance pro Karen Hauer, will join two other stars who delivered amazing performances on the BBC One dance contest. There are four celebrities taking part on Gladiators, with the full line-up expected to be announced imminently by the BBC. Last year the competitors were Sam Thompson, Joe Wicks, Vogue Williams and Nicola Adams. Bradley Walsh, who was also a favourite to take over the hosting reigns on Strictly, is expected to return to front both the celebrity and non-celebrity versions of Gladiators, with his son Barney.
