Celeb-obsessed cop, 31, ‘disguised himself as Uber Eats rider’ before ‘murdering TV star ex & his new boyfriend’

AN “obsessive” cop disguised himself as an Uber Eats driver before killing a TV star and his new boyfriend at their home, a court heard. Beau Lamarre, 31, allegedly shot dead his ex – TV presenter Jesse Baird, 26 – and flight attendant Luke Davies, 29, in Sydney with his police gun. Prosecutor Brett Hatfield SC said Lamarre had developed an “obsessive and jealous infatuation” with Baird after a brief romantic relationship. His “compulsive behaviour” escalated when Baird ended all contact in November 2023, Hatfield said. He then stalked his ex-lover, broke into his home and damaged his car in the weeks after their breakup. On the day of the alleged murder in February 2024, Lamarre sent a chilling text to a friend saying: “I’ll try to call you tonight and update you… there’s no sign I’m doing it”. Prosecutors say he then disguised himself as an Uber driver and laid in wait outside the couple’s home for three hours. The murder of Davies was done to “eliminate him as a witness”, claimed prosecutor Brett Hatfield. To cover up the killings, Lamarre allegedly sent text messages from the TV presenter’s phone. Cops first investigated the alleged double murder after finding bloodied items belonging to the pair in a bin in southern Sydney. Eerie CCTV footage shows Lamarre in a black t-shirt and handcuffs being escorted into the station. In the trial on Monday however the celeb-obsessed cop – who was fired shortly after being charged in 2024 – pleaded not guilty to two counts of domestic violence murder and one count of aggravated break and enter. He has also denied breaking into the home in Paddington six months before the murders and stealing his ex’s phone and wallet. Lamarre did plead guilty to manslaughter – but the offer was rejected by the court. The mammoth trial is expected to last at least 3 months – with more than 100 witnesses to be called in to testify. The obsessive “fan” has been in the spotlight before – known for taking selfies with famous faces such as Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus and Kim Kardashian. Lamarre was also spotted following Kourtney Kardashian’s car to grab a snap with her and Travis Barker.
