Published October 5, 2026 07:14 AM Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb grew up outside of Houston and he made his first NFL game in the city one to remember. Lamb had a career-high 17 catches on Sunday and they went for 198 yards that included the 12 yards he picked up on the game-winning touchdown with under a minute left to play. Lamb finished the 34-30 win in fourth place on the Cowboys’ all-time receiving yards list and said his mind has already started to turn to what he can do next. “Honestly, right now, I can’t really fathom it, but I will say I am grateful for the opportunity,” Lamb said, via the team’s website. “It’s a lot of emotions going through me right now, and as far as preparing for the next game, that’s kind of how I motivate myself: ‘What can I possibly do with the next game to capitalize off this one?’ But a moment of gratitude, I’m definitely happy to be in this position. I’m happy for the opportunity, and I’m looking forward to breaking more records. That’s no nothing toward the guys that’re ahead of me, but I’m coming.”Lamb only trails Tony Hill by 74 yards, so he may be in third place behind Jason Witten and Michael Irvin before the end of Thursday night’s game against the Buccaneers. If that game is anything like Sunday, Hill could be in the rearview before the end of the first quarter.
